The Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition has announced his second pick for the senate in the person of Crystal Drakes. Drakes who is currently employed at the Centre for Resource Management and Environment Studies at the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies, is an Economist by profession. She was also formerly employed with the Inter-American Development Bank, as well as the Commonwealth.

A joint communiqué was signed between the Federation of Saint Kitts & Nevis and the Kingdom of eSwatini. During a ceremony at the High Commission of St Kitts & Nevis in London, High Commissioner H.E. Dr Kevin Isaac and H.E Christian Nkambule, formalized ties between the two countries. This marks a milestone for the Federation as well as advance the commitment by the Timothy Harris Administration to expand its diplomatic engagement across the African continent.

Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, H.E. Mrs Gulnara Iskakova joined the High Commissioner of St Kitts & Nevis at her Embassy in London to sin a joint communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. The two diplomats expressed pleasure at the cordial and efficient cooperation between the Embassy and the High Commission.

According to ECA International (Employment Conditions Abroad) based in the United Kingdom, Bridgetown was ranked in the fifth spot on the global ranking of locations which can make a serious dent in the wallets of business executives. This means that the capital was second to the costliest city making it the priciest in the Caribbean and considered more expensive that most European cities such as London and Paris.

The invention of a local fisherman will soon find international acclaim. Karlis Noel who is from the Village of Laborie, developed a plan for a desalination project in his community which was presented to the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The proposal was selected for implementation in the Republic of Nauru, a small island with a population of about 10 000, where there is a scarcity of adequate water as a consequence of the underground water supply becoming unusable, thanks to salt-water intrusion.
